Very small bathroom ideas

We get asked a lot about making small bathrooms look bigger. The best way is for a wet room. Get rid of that old bath. It makes a room look much larger and most people shower nowadays anyway.

Your bathroom is important so, do not go for the cheap quote. We will give you a fixed quotation, not an estimate. We are experienced enough to know exactly what makes a great bathroom at realistic prices.

Compact Bathroom

This is a fairly small bathroom. The customer wanted vanity units without loosing space or making it feel cramped. We fitter an L shaped vanity basin and WC combo. This was exactly what the customer wanted, but could not visualise how it could be done. They were over the moon.

Retro

This, we think, is the ultimate retro bathroom, if you like that sort of thing. Centerpiece being a free standing copper bath costing a grand four thousand pounds. It has a nice tiled wet area for showering, vanity unit and low level WC. not sure about the wallpaper though or the extractor system.

Large Bathroom

This was a large bathroom, so they could get away with a fairly dark tile. But we don't really like tiles so dark. Anyway, it is still a beautiful job. A free standing bath, nice size shower area with a wet room floor and recessed shelves in the tiles, and a vanity unit.

Luxurious Bathroom

Chris and Debbie went for a complete remodel of their existing bathroom. We removed a bath at one end and replaced with a walk-in shower and removed and shower at the other end and replaced with a Japanese inspired soaking tub. They chose an anthracite coloured vanity basin, wall hung cupboard and towel radiator that complemented the style of the luxury vinyl tile flooring we installed. All in all the Chris and Debbie are extremely pleased with how their new bathroom looks and feels. The wall are fully tiled with a large gloss white tile. Some say white tiles look clinical, but this bathroom looked special, clean and bright. We thought classy.

White floor.

Mrs Porter wanted a bright look but not white tiles on the walls. So she went for grey wall tiles with a mosaic border, white units to match the P shape bath and white floor tiles. We also fitted four down lights in the ceiling. We think it worked very well.

Modern Look

Mr Young went for a modern look with light, driftwood style, vanity units and a P shape bath, which gives more shower room than a standard bath. We also changed the radiator for a heated towel rail.

Whirlpool.

Here you can see we used a stone effect tile laid in brick fashion. A whirlpool bath and vanity units.

Bathroom with wet area

This was a spacious bathroom in a listed building. The owners wished to have a wet room, but retain a bath. So we obliged. We removed all the floor boards and replaced them with twelve mill cement board. Tanked all joins and installed underfloor heating. the floor was tiled with hexagonal tiles. The walls were tiled in white. all in all it made a very nice bathroom.

Nice Basic Bathroom

This is a nice but very basic bathroom with the minimum of tiling. We always recommend a full tile especially in a wet room.

Shear Luxury.

This is a top end luxury bathroom. We cater for everyone, from the smallest normal bathroom, to the utmost in luxury.

All Grey

This bathroom was tiled in a grey tile containing shiny silica. It has a 1500 P shape shower bath. The customer tiled the floor with old broken bits of tile. We thought it looked quite good, different, unique.

Bath & Shower

This is a fair size bathroom that has a shower as well as a bath. The shower controls were set at the opposite end to the shower and two shelves built into the stud wall. A free standing bath and tap gives an up market look, but expensive. The grey tiles looked good but we thought a bit on the dark side, although looked better than in photo.

Narrow Bathroom

This was a narrow bathroom and the bath was originally under the window, which, made the room feel very narrow as you walked down to the basin at the other end. So, we used a 1500 bath and cut the tap holes off to enable it to fit across the far end of the room. We then had to mount the taps in the wall and fitted a mirror in the tiles with a small border around it. The tiles were all white and looked good. We also hung the basin under the window with a semi pedestal. The WC remained in it’s original place. The room now feels twice the size.

Black and White

This was a reasonably priced job. Although the vanity units pushed up the price a bit. But it shows what can be done on a fairly limited budget.

Mirror

Another mirror set in the tiles. This not only makes the room feel much bigger, but, does stop steam from getting behind the glass.

Novelty Loo

This was in a smart restaurant in Hua Hin Thailand. No, you can't have one. I don't know where they came from. At the other extreme, the next photo is one we found in an old temple. I can make you one of these though. lol.

Dark Tiles

This bathroom was tiled with a black slate and sealed. So it could not look any darker. Erm, well, not sure, it was nice in its own way, but it was like being in a cave. Even more lighting I think.

Retro Look

Yes, a Victorian look. This bathroom came out OK but not to our taste. The customer loved it though, and that is what matters.

Feature Tile

This was the customers design, not ours, but it shows that even with a plain or white tile you can add some interest.

Major Update

We do not only install luxurious bathrooms, but very ordinary ones as well. See how we updated this sad old bathroom; to a clean bright modern one at reasonable cost. Again, vanity units and a mirror set in the tiles.
